More tree chopping

Some drastic pruning of the trees around the pool has been carried out in the hope that the summer sun will have more chance to warm the swimming pool water.

Tree Pruning in August

In August we had a friendly visit from the Mayor during which he hinted that we ought to do something about the overhanging branches which were causing difficulties with tall lorries and farm vehicles.

Mr and Mme Nicholas Visit

On 22 August 2014 we had a visit from Mr and Mme Nicholas who were staying in their motor caravan near the lake. It turned out that Mr Nicholas was born in Chez Russell in 1932 so we invited him and his wife to find out how our house has changed since he left Bran.
